Goddess

A fine art project to highlight the beauty and power of women. In many cultures, women have been considered the backbone of every homestead and in a larger capacity the backbone of society, yet to this day women in many parts of the world are still fighting for basic human rights and for their voice to be heard. With this body of work, I celebrate the female essence and attempt to capture her metaphorical rise to the top with a juxtaposition of her physical attributes and movements signifying strength and tenderness. My photos tell a story of Goddesses that visit the earth and little is known about them. They of course possess unique gifts and abilities and I have been on a search for them for so long. Finally I got the opportunity to capture what I believe to be their likeness however I still don’t know what their abilities are. It is up to the discerning eye of the viewer to figure it out and perhaps let me in on this secret.
